Funeral for Stephen George Smith, 61, of Decatur will be Sat., Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage with the Rev. Hal Daigre officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home assisting the family.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation will be Fri., Feb. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith died Wed., Feb. 3, 2016, at his residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1954. He was employed by the Lurleen Wallace Center for 22 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carla Sutton Smith; two daughters, Rachel Brewer (Dwight) of Hartselle and Rebekah Barnette (John) of Elkmont; father, George Smith; two brothers, Alan Smith (Kathy) of Nashville, Tenn. and Kenneth Smith (Carol) of Montevallo; a sister, Carol Owens of Hartselle; sister-in-law, Bonita Smith of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Kiersten Brewer, Kaylyn Barnette and Gabriella Barnette.
