Priceville offers gun safety program
The Town of Priceville Public Safety Department will offer a gun safety program Thurs., Feb. 18, 2016. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. The program will be held in the Bill Dinsmore Community Center (Senior Center) located at 520 Highway 67 South in Priceville. The senior center is in front of Veterans Park.
Topics to be covered include law and eminent danger by Sheriff Ana Franklin. 911 response by Corporal Herman Davis, and a choice of weapons and ammo review by Councilman Jerry Welch. Active shooter and an AR15 demonstration, capability and identification are new topics to be covered.
During the program attendees will be assisted in concealed weapons permit application, weapons will be inspected for unsafe conditions, this includes long and short guns. Old ammunition will be collected for disposal, and each one attending will be issued free gun safety locks.
All Morgan County residents are welcome to attend. Parents must accompany young adults.
