Funeral for Foree Porter, 83, of Hartselle was Wed, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Danville with the Rev. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Enon Cemetery.

Mrs. Porter died Mon., Feb. 22, 2016, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Lawrence County to Robert Isom Hensley and Myrtie Belle Wilborn Hensley. She was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved her family and all children, not just her own. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arnold Porter of Hartselle; a son, Terry Porter of Hartselle; five grandchildren, Jason Porter, Cara Porter, Kevin Porter, Taylor Porter and Diana Porter; and a great-grandchild, Wyatt McNeal.

Pallbearers were Randy Hensley, Keith Hensley, Kim Hensley, Rex Hensley, Jackie Hensley and Mike McCaghren.
