The Hartselle Tigers suffered a big setback last week when they were upset by the Brewer Patriots in the Morgan County tournament. The third ranked Tigers were hoping to get back on track as they traveled to compete in the Prattville tournament.

Hartselle steamrolled to the finals as they didn’t lose a single set much less a match. The Tigers defeated Park Crossing 25-14 and 25-12, Prattville Christian Academy 25-11 and 25-14, Trinity 25-22 and 25-9, and Indian Springs 25-12 and 25-10.

This set up a championship match with the hosting Prattville Lions. Hartselle and Prattville split the first two sets as Parttville won the first 25-18 and Hartselle won the second 25-15. Hartselle won the tournament by defeating Prattville 15-9 in the championship set. Megan Zuck and Hayden Hanserd finished with 48 and 30 kills respectively. Gabrielle Bili finished with 16 kills and 100 assists while Britni Bell had 23 kills. Maggie Anderson had 45 digs.

Hartselle will hosts the Area tournament on Tues., October 18 with a chance trip to the Super Regionals and State on the line.
