It was almost too easy for the third ranked Hartselle Tigers as the Tigers claimed the Class 6A Area 15 championship on Tues., Oct. 18. Hartselle dispatched of both Columbia and Austin without losing a single match in order to claim the title. Hartselle outscored both teams by a combined 150-65 in six matches.

Hartselle swept Columbia in three matches by scores of 25-5, 25-10 and 25-7 and swept Austin with scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-14.

Megan Zuck led the Tigers with 31 kills. Hayden Hanserd, Britni Bell and Jordan Finn accounted for 15, 13 and 10 kills respectively. Finn also finished with 13 digs while Maggie Anderson had 12 digs. Gabrielle Bili accounted for 60 assists.

Hartselle now advances to the Super Regionals at Von Braun Center in Huntsville beginning on Oct. 21. The Tigers must win both their games on Oct. 21 to advance to State.
