Danville man arrested for burglary
A Danville man was arrested after burglarizing a Decatur residence on Wed., Jan 18.
Blake Waylon Hopkins, 27, of Danville was arrested for burglary in the third degree after Decatur police officers arrived at a residence on Truman Avenue to a burglary in progress call.
Officers Tarvius Jones and Marcus Smiley located a male, who was identified as Hopkins, inside the residence. The officers detained Hopkins for Investigation purposes and it was determined that Hopkins had property on his person that belonged to the resident.
Hopkins was subsequently charged with burglary in the 3rd degree. He was processed through the Decatur City Jail and transferred to the Morgan County Jail where he is being held on $2500 bond.
