Shady Grove to Host Blood Drive Feb. 19

 

The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church will host a Blood Drive on Feb. 19 from 12:30 till 5 p.m. at the church. Please show your support and help to save a life and remember the life that you save could be your own or that of a loved one. Each donation typically saves three lives. All support will be greatly appreciated.

 

A senior adult trip is planned for March 16, 17, and 18. They will leave on Fri. at 5 a.m. going to St. Francisville, LA for the Audubon Society Pilgrimage, which includes tours of plantation homes and a Cemetery tour that night. They will leave at 9 a.m. on Sun. coming home. A safe and wonderful trip is wished for the senior adults participating in this activity.

Special and wonderful belated happy wedding anniversary wish go out this week for Jimmie and Mildred Lake as they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Feb. 4, Dale and Hannah Burch who celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary on Feb. 5, Mack and Evon Vest who celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on Feb. 6, Virgil and Jane Vest who celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on Feb. 6, and Harvey and Pat McCleskey who celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on Feb. 14.

 

Wonderful Happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week for Wayne and Peggy Holloway as they will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19.
The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church remember in loving memory this week Jeanette Elnora “Blondie” Morris, from Feb. 25, 1927 till Jan. 1, 2017.

 

A Church Planting Seminar will be held Feb. 23, 24, and 25 at the Morgan Baptist Association at the 1410 State St. NW, Hartselle. Activities will begin at 12 p.m. on Thursday with lunch. Some of topics to be covered include, Biblical Foundation, Preferred Future, Core Values, Ministry Area, Evangelism Strategy, Discipleship Strategy and Worship Strategy. This is a great opportunity to learn how to do the great commission!
