Members of the Hartselle City of Board of Education met Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, in the recently open Riley’s Resource Center, located behind the Hartselle Junior High in the old Vocational building.

Hartselle City Superintendent Dr. Vic Wilson said the efforts of Specials Needs and pre-transition teacher Tasha McKee were the reasoning behind the success of the renovated Riley’s Resource Center.

“The job wouldn’t have been completed and this successful without the efforts and the innovative taken by Mrs. McKee,” Wilson said. “We told her that it was her plan and she would have to come up with the funding, and she did that. We supported her vision with it and provided assistance from Hartselle staff members to paint and do landscaping and we’re just very proud of all the effort made to finish this project.”

McKee was present at the meeting and said with the support of Arthur Orr, the community, Dr. Wilson, and many other faculty members, the finished version of the new Riley’s Resource Center would not have been possible.
