On Saturday, students from Hartselle Computer Science classes participated in the 2017 University of Alabama Robotics competition in Tuscaloosa.

Sixty teams comprised of elementary, middle school, and high school students competed in the autonomous programming event.

UA’s robotics competition is unique in the sense that student teams are given three hours to solve three different programming challenges without any assistance from parents or teachers.

Students from FE Burleson finished in third place in the elementary division.

High School Team: Blake Mozley, Weston Corsbie, Cody Tapscott, Megan Haskins, Carson Speegle, Ashton Johnson, Kaleb Gunter, Thomas Bunney, and Cody Munger

Elementary Team: Anna Burroughs, Hallie Watson, Bryant Shaw, Carson Wilson, Trammel Hurley, Gabriella Springer, Adelyn LeMay, and Noah Gibson
