Spending Mother’s Day with Max and Dana Schrimsher were her daughters, Jill Joines of Pike Road and Julie Norris of Wetumpka and her grandchildren; Mick Norris of Troy and Erin Norris of Auburn. They all enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Jill and Julie. Visiting with them later in the afternoon were other kinfolks; Mary Alice Nelson, Nelson Graham, Scarlett Graham and her son, Daysen.
A yard sale will be held at Pine Street Baptist Church on Pine Street in Falkville. This sale will be held on June 8, 9 and 10 from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. For more information, phone 256-318-6160.
Graduates of the 2017 class from Falkville High School, Baylee Lockhart and Emily Hill, were honored during the morning worship service at First Baptist Church Falkville on May 21. They were presented with Bibles. Emily Hill plans to attend UNA and Baylee Lockhart plans to attend Calhoun.
Vacation Bible School will be held at First Baptist Church Falkville and the date for this will be June 5 through June 9 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The women of Falkville United Church were hostesses at the 66th Annual Tea on Sun., May 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. for the members of the 2017 graduating class of Falkville High School and their parents. The tea was held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The senior class colors were gray and royal blue. Debbie Higginbotham registered the guests. A white cloth was used on the serving table; royal blue napkins were used and arrangements of calla lilies and hibiscus were used on the tables. Beth Russell served cake and Leah Ann Wilhite and Catlin Waddell served punch.
On Sun., May 14 during the 10:30 a.m. service at First Baptist Church Falkville, there was a Parent-Child Dedication Service. Those who participated were Wyatt James Henslee, son of J.D. and Leigh Henslee; Maleigh Ella Host, daughter of Ryan and Lacey Host and Eli Alexander Moore, son of Amber Moore.
Vacation Bible School will be held at Fairview: the Grace Place for children of the ages three through the fifth grade. This school will be June 11 through June 14 at 5 p.m. each night. For more information, phone 256-784-5642
