In our lives we face many transitions that leave us uncertain and insecure. At times like this we often seek advice to get through, whether it’s facing something small or large age has no limit, it’s still difficult, many times we let fear control us.

In 1 Chronicles we find where David instructs Solomon about building the temple. It’s recorded in the Old Testament that Solomon took over the throne from his father, David. In verse 20 we see where David gave Solomon the advice to not be frightened about the task before him being King, and the builder of the Temple. During these transitions we like Solomon need not focus on fear. We must place our focus on getting the task done at hand. We need to focus on the one who can guide us through these transitions. This isn’t the first time that God has been faced with our needs: 1 Chronicles 28:20; “And David said to Solomon his son, be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, not be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou heart hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.”
