June is adopt a cat month. Whenever you adopt a cat, it is best to get two so they will not be lonesome and will have another cat to play with. Buy a good brand of cat litter and a litter box. Keep it in the same place so the cat will know where it is. Show the cat where the box is and put him into it and tell him what to do, he will soon know what to do. Cats are easy to train to use the litter box. Always use the same brand of cat litter because cats do not like changes and will not use the box. You can train your cat to scratch only in certain areas by getting a scratching post and show the cat how to use it. Praise him whenever he uses it. Give them plenty of toys to play with such as cat trees, they solve your cats craving of heights. You will need a pet carrier to put your cat in whenever travelling and for a ride in your car. Play and talk to your cat, they will love it. Feed them only cat food and not food from the table. Do not leave food in the bowl after they have eaten. Keep their bowl and water dish in the same spot so they will know where it is. Do not feed them sweets.
