Dance Station to open Aug. 11
Everyone is welcome to attend the new business named The Dance Station opening on Aug. 11. The Dance Station is located on 11 County Road 1291 in Cullman. They will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, from 7 to 11 p.m. for all ages and after 11 p.m. for those 21 and older. They will offer free games such as pool, air hockey and lots more. Lauren Estes Velez, formerly of Massey was one of the Reading Program speakers at the Falkville Public Library on Thur., July 20 at 2 p.m. “Building a Better World By Keeping Fit”, Lauren took the children through a simple but effective exercise. She told the children the foods they should be eating. The summer reading program theme was “Building a Better World”. Frances Rowe, also of Massey community, gave another part of the Thursday program: “Building a Better World by Using Good Manners”. Thursday, July 27 was Awards Day and everyone turned in their reading record for the summer and pizza was served. Librarian Jenny Asherbranner welcomes new patrons to come by and browse, check out books, read magazines and get library cards.
Pleasant View Holy Church of Christ located on top of Cook Mountain, southwest of Massey will hold their summer revival, Aug. 13 through the 18, Sunday through Friday. The visiting preacher on Sunday will be Brother Luke Bumgard at 5 p.m. The preacher Monday through Friday will be Brother Jamie Suggs and the time will be 7 p.m. There will also be special singing each night. Pastor, Brother Ricky Ball, welcomes everyone to attend.
The Round Top Community Church Youth had the leadership for their 5th Sunday, July 30 worship service. Allison and Jack Albert are the youth leaders and Brother Pearl Jenkins is their pastor. Their music director is Spencer Johnson.
Piney Grove Methodist Church Evangelist, Shane Williams did their revival, July 24 through the 26, Monday through Wednesday nights, at 7 p.m. Area residents met for the services. Leon Hightower led the singing. Piney Grove is West of Corinth on Hwy 41.
Area school systems affecting students who are in the Hartselle Enquirer readership range are Morgan County, Hartselle City, Decatur City, Lawrence County and Cullman County. Remember our students, bus drivers, teachers, administrators and the staff of all schools in your prayers. We wish all a safe and productive beginning of the 2017-2018 year. School buses, back packs, lunch boxes, brown bag lunches, bands marching and football music is in as well early morning cool, and cheerleader yells as teams try to avoid heat strokes, reminds many of our readers of school year early days in our educational history. School leaders and other personnel have been through training on how to handle shooters and other dangers. We appreciate so much all of our police, first responders and EMT’s, school nurses and hospital workers are also appreciated.
