Holidays bring cheery downtown atmosphere

Lauren Estes-Velez, Hartselle Enquirer

HARTSELLE—Anyone who has driven in downtown Hartselle lately has probably noticed the decorations, holiday decor and lights around each corner and block.

Mayor Randy Garrison said Hartselle Public Works did a great job and worked hard to have all the decorations displayed the week before the Christmas open house Nov. 5.

“The businesses do their own on individual storefronts and windows,” Garrison said. “The City of Hartselle purchased the pole decorations and lights several years ago. Each year about this time they are put up for the community to enjoy.”

Hartselle Public Works is in charge of putting the lights and decorations on the light poles downtown, which really shine at night or in the early morning hours.
