The Hartselle City Schools Board of Education met Jan. 23 and approved two out-of-state field trips and events for students during springtime as well as approved the 2018-2019 school calendar.
Hartselle Superintendent Dr. Dee Dee Jones said she and the board are extremely proud of the students involved in these trips and also the band for their successes.

“This is another way to enrich learning experiences for our students,” Jones said. “Part of our strategic plan is equipping all students with learning, leadership and life skills. I think trips like these are a great opportunity for our students.”

  • The board approved the following out-of-state field trips:
Hartselle High School band to travel to Washington, D.C., March 14-18 to perform at the World War II Memorial and visit other historic sites.
