Jones, Lawrimore to wed

Bedford and Sue Jones of New Orleans, La. announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Jamie Lee Jones, to Dr. Lucas Carter Lawrimore, son of Mike and Debbie Lawrimore of Falkville.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Doris Saxon and the late Robert Saxon of St George, Utah and the late Bedford and Mae Jones of Roxboro, NC.


A 2002 graduate of Archbishop Blenk High School, she received her bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2006.

While there, she was an All-American tennis player for four years. She went on to receive her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences.

She is a member of the United States Tennis Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.

The future groom is the grandson of Mary Holmes of Falkville, Eldred and Betty Jo Lawrimore of Falkville and Freddie and Sue Holmes Sr. of Somerville.

A 1999 graduate of Falkville High School, he received his bachelor of science degree in biology from the the University of Alabama - Birmingham in 2004 and his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences in 2007.

He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a Certified Manual Therapist.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 5, 2009, in Destin, Fla.

Conner, Orr to wed

Lance and Teresa Conner of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Stefanie Dee, to John Wesley Orr, son of John Pat and Candy Orr of Hartselle.


The future bride is the granddaughter of Marcelle Conner and the late Robert E. Conner Jr. of Decatur, Ed and Elaine Huggins of Hartselle and Billy and Lora Mae Vinson of Decatur.

A 2001 graduate of Decatur High School, she received her bachelor’s degree in physical education from Athens State University. She will graduate this summer with a master’s degree in physical education from Jacksonville State University. She is employed by Huntsville City Schools as a physical education teacher at Hampton Cove Elementary School.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Billie K. Nelson Sr. of Decatur and Dorothy Orr and the late Charles L. Orr of Hartselle.

He is a 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School and attended Wallace State Community College. He is employed by AT&T as an outside plant technician.

The wedding will be Aug. 22, 2009, at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle.

Kulovitz, Snead to wed

Patricia S. Kulovitz and Dr. Michael J. Kulovitz of Talladega announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Lane, to Raymond Alfred Snead III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Alfred Snead Jr. of Marietta, Ga.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Margaret E. Sherrill of Birmingham and the late Dr. Fred Sherrill Jr. of Hartselle and Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. Kulovitz of Birmingham.

A graduate of Talladega High School, she received her degree in early childhood education at Jacksonville State University, where she was a member of Phi Mu. She is employed by the Calhoun County Department of Education.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Hendricks and Eunice Snead and the late Raymond Snead Sr., all of Virginia.

A graduate of Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., he is an Eagle Scout and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He graduated with a degree in Finance from Jacksonville State University and is now employed in Anniston.

The wedding will be Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover.
