Funeral for Eugene B. Mays, 79, of Decatur was Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Audie Hodges and Rev. Sherry Harris officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Mays died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at Decatur General Hospital. He was a retired maintenance electrician at the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Decatur and a member of Company C 16th Infantry Regiment.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Mays of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Nesmith, Hank Young, Steve Young, Ray Haddock, Barry Bean, Jeff Hogan, Mike Hogan and Lloyd McHenry.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Decatur or any favorite charity.
