Memorial service for Mittie Huggins Brooks, 85, of Somerville was Monday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Twickenham Church of Christ in Huntsville with Thomas Larkin, Eddie Levick and Lincoln Smith officiating.
Burial was in the family plot at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Covington County near Andalusia with Foreman-Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Brooks died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a resident of Somerville for the past 13 years. She was a member of Union Church of Christ and the mother of the late Dr. Linda Brooks.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jesse C. Brooks of Somerville; two sons, Lehn Brooks of Huntsville and Lloyd Brooks of Somerville; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
