Funeral for B. H. Holmes, 94, of Falkville, was Wednesday, May 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gary Miller and Roger Hood officiating.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mr. Holmes died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Hartselle Medical Center.
He was a member of Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church and a farmer. He was the widower of Essie Dunlap Holmes and the brother of the late Sarah Williams.
He is survived by three sons, Ellis Holmes of Hartselle, O.D. Holmes of Decatur and James M. Holmes of Lacey's Spring; three daughters, Freda Nunn of Abilene, Tex., Jane Russell and Peggy Williams both of Falkville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
