Youth league baseball continues its action in Hartselle. Among this week's scores are:
The Vols took a three-run lead in the second inning and came up with a run-for-run reply to a pair from the Rainbows in the fifth.
David Jackson got the pitching win in five innings of work. He struck out seven, while walking two and giving up only one hit. Russell Powell worked two innings of relief. Joey Johnson took the loss for the Rainbows.

The Bulldogs overcame a three-run Alabama lead with a four-run rally in the fourth.
Wilder Queen and Brent Denson shared the pitching duties for the Bulldogs. Kyle Johnson took the loss for the Tide. Luke Bole stole two bases in the victory.

The Bulldogs broke a 4-4 tie game in the top of the eighth inning and then held off the Wolverines for the win.
Dylan Sparkman, Tony Weaver and Chad Girodo all saw the mound for the Bulldogs. Alex Mote took the loss for the Wolverines in four innings of relief of Andrew Howard.

A pitching dual between Spencer Orr and Garrett Turrentine went Orr's way as both hurlers tossed one-hitters.
Orr fanned 16 Auburn batters and allowed only one walk in six innings.
Turrentine got a lot of support from his defense with only six strikeouts in five innings.
He walked three in the loss.

The Bengals got a one-run lead in the top of the first and capped the game with a three-run blast in the sixth.
Judd McCravey worked a six-inning, one-hitter with solid support from his defense. David Reeves took the loss for the Bulldogs.
He struck out eight, walked two, but gave up six hits.

The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead after two innings, but the Bengals regained the lead with a four-run rally in the fourth and virtually assured victory with five runs in the fifth.
Tim Beach was the winning pitcher for LSU in a complete game. He struck out eight, walked two and gave up only two hits.

The Rainbows looked as though they were on their way to a win, but Alabama had other ideas as they produced a three-run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning and held off the Rainbows in the final half.
Kyle Heym got the win in five innings of work. He struck out 10, walked four and give up six hits. Kyle Johnson came in to get the save.
Daniel Owen and Joseph Pinion were the pitchers for the Rainbows.

The Rainbows opened with a grandslam homer in the first inning. Caleb Murphy crushed the yard trip to bring home runners Manquez Jones, Joey Johnson and Daniel Owen. But the shot wouldn't hold up as the Wolverines plated eight runs in the final five innings.
Daryn Raley got the pitching win for the Wolverines with six innings of relief work. He struck out eight with four hits. Ethan Widener was the starting pitcher for Michigan. Andrew Howard closed.
Marquez Jones worked six innings for the Rainbows. He struck out six, walked six and gave up five hits. Joey Johnson took the loss in one inning of work.

Mike Hasse slapped a solo homer for the Tide to get them on the board in the third inning. Kyle Johnson fanned 12 Auburn batters in six innings of work, while allowing only one hit. He walked five.
Garrett Turrentine took the loss for Auburn, despite fanning 10 Alabama batters.
