Scorchers fall to Bravehearts in Angels softball showdown

The Bravehearts knocked the Torture Scorchers from the ranks of the unbeaten in an extra-inning battle.
The Bravehearts spoiled the Scorchers' perfect season as they took the league leaders to extra innings and plated a winning run in the bottom half of the eighth.
Shelby Hoff worked the mound six innings for the Bravehearts, fanning 17 batters along the way. She walked on and allowed no hits.
Taylor White came in to close. She collected the win in two innings of work.
She struck out five, walked two and gave up two hits.
Hensley Collins worked six innings for the Scorchers, pitching a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts. She walked two.
Abby McHugh took the mound in relief and took, the loss in two innings.

Bee-Ware 8, Bravehearts 5:
After letting the Bravehearts build a 4-1 lead, the Bees stung their way back into the lead with a four-run rally in the top of the third inning. The Bravehearts answered with a run to tie, but Bee-Ware mustered three runs in the top of the fourth gain their final advantage.
Michelle Curtis got the win for the Bees in a five-inning performance.
Shelby Hoff and Taylor White shared pitching duties for the Bravehearts.

The Bravehearts claimed a four-run lead in the top of the first inning and spread the gap with 14 runs in the final two innings. The Lil' Angels avoided the shutout with a run in the bottom of the second inning.

Sudden Impact started slow but poured it on late as they swamped 2-Intense.

A six-run inning by the Angels spelled victory over the Babes.
Sarah Long was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts, four walks and two hits. Maria Stejskal provided one inning of relief.
Lisa Wauford was saddled with the loss in three innings for the Babes. Michelle Smith went one inning in relief.

One run in the bottom of the first was sufficient for the win as the Scorchers shutout the Bees.
Hensley Collins worked the mound for five innings in the no-hitter, striking out 15 Bees. She walked four. Michelle Curtis took the loss for the Bee-Ware. She struck out six with one run on one hit.
Chelsea Maze got that one hit, a homerun.
The Bravehearts used a pair of six-run innings to overwhelm the Tigers.
