Perry signs tennis scholarship with UAH

Hartselle's Ashley Perry will continue her tennis career at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She signed a scholarship to play for the Chargers last week.
The scholarship covers full-time tuition and over half of her dorm expenses for the 2002-2003 academic year.
Perry had previously earned
total value of $4769. She has also an academic Presidential Scholarship from UAH valued at $2000. She graduated HHS with a 4.015 grade point average.
Perry led the Hartselle girls' tennis team for four years and reached the quarter finals of the 5A state tournament in her senior season.
Ashley will major in Communication Arts at UAH with a minor in Computer-Mediated Communication.
The UAH tennis coach is Matt Holladay. UAH is Division II and a member of the Gulf South Conference.
