Truel George Childers

Funeral for Truel George Childers, 89, of Hartselle was Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Wilson officiating.
Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery.
Mr. Childers died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at his residence. A native of Morgan County, he was a retired maintenance department manager for the Broward County School Board in Florida. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hartselle and the father of the late Bob Childers.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Childers of Hartselle; two sons, Roger Childers of Plantation, Fla. and David Childers of Hartselle; one brother, Elzin Childers of Birmingham; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dewel Lott, S.D. Childers, Joe Howell, Randy Maner, Noel Childers and Jimmy Mosteller.
