Funeral for Myrtle B. Ward, 81, of Decatur, was Tuesday, August 6, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Tolbert officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at Hartselle Medical Center. A native of Cullman County, she was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of James C. Ward and the mother of the late James T. Ward.
She is survived by one son, William E. Ward of Decatur; two daughters, Jean Henson and Patricia Howell, both of Decatur; three brothers, Grady Burgess of Huntsville, Marvin Burgess of Hartselle and R.L. Burgess of Guntersville; three sisters, Mary Lee Drinkard and Betty Jane Farmer, both of Huntsville, and Gladys Stover of Opelika; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Mike Burgess, Rodney Burgess, David Key, Bobbie L. Parker, Ed Brooks and Timmy Eldridge.
