Funeral for Mildred P. Blackwood, 86, of Titusville, Fla., formerly of Hartselle, will be Friday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Weaver officiating. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Blackwood died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, in Titusville, Fla. A native of Morgan County, she was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, she was a homemaker and a member of the Hartselle Homemakers Club. Her hobbies included crafts and cooking. She was the widow of Melvin Blackwood.
She is survived by two daughters, Fay Simpkins of Sylacauga and Carol Lee of Titusville, Fla.; two brothers, Ferrell Proctor and Dee Proctor, both of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
