Several area athletes included in Who's Who – Sports Edition

A total of 15 students from this area are included in the 2001-2002 edition of the Who's Who Among American High School Students – Sports Edition.
Who's Who – Sports Edition, published by Educational Communications, Inc., Austin, Texas, is part of the largest recognition program in the nation honoring high school students. The Who's Who – Sports Edition honors outstanding student-athletes.
Ahletes are nominated by coaches, teachers and sports organizations based on athletic achievement and participation in extra-curricular activities.
Who's Who – Sports Edition students also compete for $10,000 in scholarship awards. The book also is distributed on a complimentary basis to high schools, colleges and universities and public libraries throughout the country.
Local student-athletes selected include:
Ashleigh Coxwell, Conkneshia Holyfield, Lauren Flowers and Dawya Osborne, Decatur; Christie Boutwell, Catrela Kennedy, Joshua Camp and Justin Pape, Austin; Kimberly Eddy and Steven Holt, Falkville; Daniel Cole, Hartselle; Tyson Boyd, Moulton; Johnathan David Ellis, Tasha Thomas and Kenneth Morrow, Somerville.
