United we stand, divided we fall

Sept. 11, what a sad day
To thousands of people whose loved ones have gone away
I don't understand it, what they were trying to show,
Why did they do this? We may never know.
Mom and dads have now gone above
who left with their children all of their love.
This one thing is certain without a doubt I know,
God's love is protecting them, wherever they may go.
