Clemons, Bachman wed
Jenny Renae Clemons of Hartselle and Dr. John Timothy Bachmann of Madison were wed Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. at First Bible Church of Decatur.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Gene Clemons of Hartselle.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Arthur William Bachmann, Sr. and the late Arthur William Bachmann, Sr. of Cullman.
Pastor Steve Bateman officiated the ceremony.
The church was decorated with a column, which served as the base for a large Greek-style vase with an arrangement of ivory roses, caspia and asparagus fern. The stage was decorated with an assortment of ferns.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal designer gown of ivory bridal satin. A leaf and vine embroidery pattern, delicately edged with a platinum thread, trailed the deep v-neckline and back and extended slightly off the shoulder. Miniature porcelain roses nestled into the embroidery of the three-quarter length sleeves. A full ball gown skirt fell from the Basque waistline and swept into a semi-cathedral length train.
Her veil of imported French tulle was held by a matching bridal bandeau.
She carried an arm bouquet of ivory roses, asparagus fern and caspia tied with a sheer ivory ribbon.
Mrs. Joel Emerson of Hartselle was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Ann Bachmann, daughter of the groom, of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Gregory Ann Clemons, sister-in-law of the bride, of Decatur.
Attendants wore matching gowns of Victorian lavender French faille. The formal gowns featured fitted bodices with A-line princess style skirts. Attendants carried single calla lilies with asparagus fern and caspia tied with a sheer ivory bow.
Blakely Ann Clemons, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
David Andrew Bachmann, son of the groom, of Atlanta was best man. Groomsmen were Arthur William Bachmann, brother of the groom, of Ashland and Gregory Alan Clemons, brother of the bride, of Decatur.
Junior groomsmen were Gregory Ford Clemons and Paxton Smith Clemons, nephews of the bride, both of Decatur.
Ushers were Richard Barnes of Douglasville, Ga., and David Metcalf of Decatur.
Music was provided by pianist Jonathan Anderson of Hartselle, soloists Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Johns Wiley of Hartselle, and soloist Pam Tucker, niece of the groom, of Memphis.
A reception was held at the Decatur Country Club. Mrs. William A. King and Mrs. David Robinson were directors.
The bride's table featured an Italian crme wedding cake designed as a stack of gift boxes with fondant bows.
The groom's table featured a dark chocolate dome cake.
Mrs. Randy Roberts of Vinemont attended the bride's book.
After a wedding trip to Aruba and The Netherlands, the couple will reside in Madison.
