The Coffee Yellow Jackets did not stop Jeremy Orr and Isiah Herring until the second half.
And that was only because neither played in the second half.
The Hartselle Tigers (5-2, 4-1 Class 5A, Region 8) romped the visiting Yellow Jackets 51-7 on homecoming Friday night.
"They both ran hard," head coach Mike Smith said. "Isiah had a different attitude about this game. He was at a different speed."
Herring was "at a different speed," rushing for 110 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns. His previous high was 82 yards.
Jeremy Orr rushed for 112 yards on 12 carries and two scores.
"It's time for him to start playing like this," Smith said. "He needs to step up the level of his game."
In the last two games, Orr has rushed for 352 yards and three touchdowns.
His 32-yard run with 9:48 remaining in the first quarter put the Tigers on top. Orr added his other touchdown with 7:13 remaining in the first half.
Quarterback Kevin Jones completed 1 of 2 passes for 35 yards, and a touchdown to Chris Wiley.
Isiah Herring had touchdown gallops of seven and 17 yards, while Mokhtar Hajialilu added a season-long 42-yard field goal as Hartselle jumped out to a 38-0 halftime lead.
