A motorcycle collided with a commercial cargo truck Monday night and left a trinity man dead.
According to Hartselle Police, the accident happened around 8:50 p.m. at Highway 31 and Thompson Road.
A UPS cargo truck traveling south on Highway 31 attempted a left turn onto Thompson Road when a red motorcycle traveling north on Highway 31 hit and went under the truck's rear-most cargo trailer.
Morgan County Coroner Russ Beard pronounced the driver of the motorcycle, William Trevor Lytton, 20, of Trinity, dead at the scene.
Hartselle Police said the motorcycle's speed was a contributing factor to the accident.
