Funeral for Audrey Gertrude Sams, 85, of Cullman was Tues., Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with the Revs. Steve Rodgers and Mark Mayo officiating.
Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Sams died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at her residence. A native of Morgan County, she was a homemaker, the widow of Burnice Sams Sr., and the mother of the late Lyle Sams, Jerry Sams and Raymond Cleo Sams. She was the grandmother of the late Brian Sams and Terry Wayne Brummett.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Sams of Crane Hill and Junior Sams of Cullman; two daughters, Marie Harding of Hartselle and Betty Hood of Jasper; one brother, Henry Ford Kirby of Hartselle; three sisters, Gertie Hopper of Florida, Sylvia Haynes of Danville and Nell Montgomery of Hartselle; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
