Funeral for Clyde E. Blankenship, 83, of Hartselle, was Saturday, Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Paul Holmes and Rev. DeWitt Crowe officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Blankenship died Thursday, Dec. 19, in Decatur. A native of Lawrence Co., he was an auto mechanic, and a member of Southwest Baptist Church in Hartselle. He served in World War II from 1940 until 1945 as a Staff Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Faye D. Blankenship of Hartselle; one son, Clyde D. Blankenship of Athens; three brothers, Wilbur Blankenship of Bear Creek, Freeman Blankenship of Hartselle and Donald Blankenship of Lacon; and one sister, Myrtle Spivy of Florahome, Fla.
Pallbearers were Shane Edge, Les Baker, John Young, Quinn McCowell, Matthew Baker, Bryan Kreps and Kenneth Johnson.
