Funeral for Marie M. Hood, 87, of Decatur was Saturday, January 4, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Keith Pope and Dan Moran officiating.
Burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. A native of Alabama, she was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church and retired from the Austin High School cafeteria. She was the widow of Vernon Hood.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Hood of Decatur and Mike Hood of Hattiesburg, Miss.; five daughters, Marcella Moore, Barbara Hogan and Sue Rogers, all of Decatur, Jean Cottingham of Hartselle and Debbie Moran of Birmingham; one sister, Dorothy Carter of Decatur; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
