Funeral for Carl S. Muzzey, 83, of Somerville was Saturday, Feb. 1, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Standridge officiating.
Burial was in Somerville Church of God Cemetery.
Mr. Muzzey died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Parkway Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, he was retired as a mechanic from Solutia in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Prue Stringer Muzzey of Somerville; three sons, Dwight Muzzey of Decatur, Danny Muzzey and Jeff Muzzey, both of Somerville; four daughters, Kay Sharp, Faye Treakle, both of Somerville, Sue Manley of Athens and Judy Cook of Somerville; five sisters, Mae Orme and Edna Corder,k both of Hartselle, Myrtle Slaten of Trinity, Hilda Whitworth of Athens and Wilda Ryan of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
