Funeral for Ethel M. Smith Steel, 92, of Falkville, was Tuesday, June 3, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack Carter officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Steel died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born May 11, 1911, in Morgan County to Will Smith and Trannie Dutton Smith. She was the widow of Walker B. Steel and the grandmother of the late Denna Steele.
She is survived by one son, James Louis Steele of Vinemont; one brother, Thermon Smith of Hartselle; one sister, Thelma Steele of Massey; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Britt Steele, James Steele, Mark Dailey, Billy Ray Steele, Ben Lawrence and Larry Clemons.
