Funeral for Ruth Brown, 73, of Hartselle was Friday, June 13, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at her residence. She was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Morgan County to Lawton Hill and Velma Childers Hill. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Hartselle. She was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. She was the widow of Elbert Brown.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald A. Brown of Hartselle and Donald A. Brown of Aptos, Calif., one daughter, Karen Denise Smith of Hartselle; two brothers, Junior Hill and Prentis C. Hill, both of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Sarah Mariano, Joseph Brown, Drew Smith and Katherine Brown.
Pallbearers were David Roberts, Drew Smith, Jason Holmes, Mark Hill, Jeff Holmes and Ed Henry.
