Funeral for Byrd Griggs Mays, 95, of Sylvester, Ga., was Friday, July 18, at 3 p.m. at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor with Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors directing.
Mrs. Mays died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor.
She was a native of Virginia and a member of First United Methodist Church of Albany since 1940.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jimmy) Landrum Mays; and one daughter, Ida Byrd Mays Mock.
She is survived by one daughter, Landra Mays Jones of Hartselle; one sister, Elizabeth Griggs Vass of Mechanicsville, Va.; a special caregiver, Landra Louisa Mock Godfrey of Sylvester, Ga.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
