Funeral for Ester Banegas Johnson, 75, of Somerville was Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joe Culotta officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Honduras to Toribio Banegas and Maria Magdalena Banegas. She died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at her residence.
She was born in La Lima, Honduras, and was a naturalized United States citizen. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 24, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Loyd Johnson of Somerville; two sons, Thomas Patrick Johnson of Lake Forest, Calif., and Loyd Carl Johnson of Jenison, Mich.; one daughter, Theresa Ann Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Jose' Ramo'n Perla of San Pedro Sula, Honduras; one sister, Aminta Perla de Caraccioli of La Lima, Honduras; and two grandchildren, Gavin Johnson and Fiona Johnson.
Pallbearers were Herbert Willis, Patrick Willis, Thomas Patrick Johnson, Loyd Carl Johnson and Clark Johnston.
Memorials may be made to Antioch Cemetery.
