Plans to expand the runway at Rountree Field have been put on hold while city officials revamp the project bids.
Hartselle's City Council rejected three project bids last week, saying all had come in higher than expected.
The bids came in some $60,000 over expectations.
"We're going to re-draft the bid descriptions in an effort to come in under budgeted guidelines," Department of Development Director Jeff Johnson said.
