Funeral for Virginia D. Oden, 83, of Cullman was Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 1 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Harlon Hood officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Oden died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 22, 1919 in Dallas County to Malcom Johnson and Annie Mae Hudson Johnson. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira C. Oden.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas W. Oden of Cullman and Ira C. "Jr." Oden of Eva; four daughters, Rosemary Chumley of Falkville and Annie M. Ozbolt, Norma Johnson and Helen L. McCaghren, all of Eva; one half-sister, Erma Owens of Montgomery; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
