A graveside service for John Paul Jones, 53, of Decatur was Friday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at Round Top Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Garrison officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Jones died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Birmingham. He was born February 2, 1950 in Morgan County to Riggle Leon Jones and Wilma Mae Wright. He was a self-employed carpenter, a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the V.F.W. in Decatur. He was the son of the late Riggle Jones and the step-son of the late Buck Stinson.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma Stinson of Hartselle; two brothers, Michael Jones of Hillsboro and Jeff Stinson of Falkville; five sisters, Carolyn Jones, Janice Harris and Denise Smith, all of Hartselle, Hazel George of Huntsville and Gail Jones of Freemont, Calif.
