Funeral for Cleo R. Ransom, 90, of Somerville was Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at Somerville Church of God with the Rev. Pearl J. Jenkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Somerville Cemetery.
Mrs. Ransom died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at her residence. She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Morgan County to Marion Doris Johnson and Sadie Evie Maxwell Johnson. Mrs. Ransom was retired from Orr Drapery Co., where she worked as a seamstress. She was a lifelong member of the Somerville Church of God. She was the widow of Thomas Ransom.
She is survived by her son, James P. "Buddy" Ransom of Somerville; her daughter, Becky Bond of Somerville; two brothers, Lewis Johnson of Decatur and Russell Johnson of Somerville; one sister, Martha Turney of Somerville; six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Shayne Bond, Heath Bond, Nathan Bond, Barry Ransom, Brandon Ransom and Blake Ransom.
