Capitol Steps coming to Decatur
The Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts continues its 2002-2003 Professional Series season on Jan. 4, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. with the "The Capitol Steps."
The five-member troupe of Congressional staffers-turned-comedians travel the States satirizing the people and places that once employed them. The performance is made possible by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts and WLRH FM.
Reserved tickets range from $25 to $39.50, with a student and teacher discount ticket of $20. A special rush ticket is available only on the day of the show for half price. Magician at Princess Jan. 31
The Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts presents "The Magic of Lyn" featuring America's premier female illusionist, on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004 at 2 p.m. As part of the Family Series, Lyn Dillies will perform some of the most incredible illusions in magic today
Reserved tickets are available at the Princess Theatre Box Office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. or one hour prior to the show. Tickets are $10 for children 12 years and younger, with regular tickets priced from $15 to $20. Group rates are available.

Businesses collect gloves for needy
Local chiropractic offices are joining together to help provide a warmer holiday for people in need.
Hulse Family Chiropractic and Sawyer Chiropractic in Hartselle and Priceville Chiropractic are three of 15 chiropractic offices taking part in the second annual "Hands on the Community" campaign.
The winter service project is designed to collect new or slightly used winter gloves for some 300 needy adults and children. Children and adult size gloves are needed.
The Department of Human Resources and Families and Children Experiencing
Separation are joining in the effort, which will distribute the gloves in January.
The first "Hands on the Community" effort collected nearly 250 pairs of gloves for area residents. The chiropractic offices are currently accepting gloves from the public during their business hours.
"My Three Angels" coming to Princess
Bank Street Players presents "My Three Angels" at the Princess Theatre for the Performing Arts on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13 at 7:30 p. m. with a matinee on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The play is directed by Sylvia Barham.
