A graveside service for Howard Wayne Smith, 63, of Samson, formerly of Falkville, was Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with the Rev. Floyd Bradford officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Smith died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born December 18, 1939, in Tennessee to Lloyd Smith and Stella Walls Smith Young. He was the stepson of the late Buddy Young of Falkville. He was a truck driver.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Michelle Smith; one son, Byan Wayne Smith; two brothers, Garland Wallace Smith of Ky. and Michael Adrian Young of Falkville; two sisters, Mary Ann Maze of Kinston and Thresia Charlene Young of Texas; 23 nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were nephews.
