Funeral for Elvin Hershel "Red" May, 71, of Hartselle was Sunday, Dec. 28, at 2:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. May died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Sept. 23, 1932 in Morgan County to William Andrew May and Susie Porter May. He had worked at Gobble-Fite Lumber Company for more than 50 years. He was the widower of Minnie Lou Norris May.
He is survived by four sons, Tommy May of Somerville, Edward May of Neel, Donnie May of Hartselle and Darrell May of Athens; four daughters, Betty Eubanks and Jody McNutt, both of Hartselle, Robin Speakman of Decatur and Lisa Owen of Neel; two brothers, Toby May of Decatur and James May of Hartselle; three sisters, Shirley Harris and Joyce Wilhite, both of Decatur and Ruby Morris of Hartselle; 17 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
