Funeral for Jimmy Powell, 69, of Falkville was Monday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating.
Burial was in Powell's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Powell died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at his residence. He was born July 30, 1934 in Morgan County to Jim Powell and Coreney Russell Powell. He was the father of the late Gary Powell.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Jarrett Powell of Falkville; two sons, Jerry Powell of Hartselle and Allen Powell of Falkville; three brothers, Hubert Powell of Decatur, Noah Powell of Ga. and Edward Powell of Falkville; two sisters, Francis Sandlin and Virginia Edge, both of Falkville; 8 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chad Powell, Nathan Powell, Steve Edge, Dennis Shaddix, Jerry Edge and Don Sandlin.
