Funeral for Lillian Beatrice Murphy, 84, of Vinemont was Friday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Howard Wolf and Brian Murphy officiating.
Burial was in Bethsadia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Morgan County to Walter Powell and Daisy Thomas Powell. She was a lunchroom cook at Vinemont School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thad Murphy, one daughter, Myra Alma Murphy; and sons, Odean Murphy and Huey Murphy.
She is survived by two sons, Oneal Murphy and wife Margaret of Falkville and Earl Murphy and wife Connie of Hartselle; two daughters, Thelma Harris and husband Gerald and Kay Blevins and husband George, all of Cullman; two brothers, David Powell of Decatur and John Powell of Cullman; four sisters, Gracie Etheridge of Breman and Jewell Ball, Martha Cobb and Dortha Shaddix, all of Cullman; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her special caregiver, Eulean Burks.
