Funeral for Lizzie Champion, 89, of Falkville was Friday, Jan. 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Homer Jones and Keith Jones officiating.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Champion died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born March 23, 1914, in Morgan County to John Plunkett and Susie Black Plunkett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant View Holy Church of Christ.
She is survived by three sons, James Champion of Cullman, Marshall Champion of Hartselle and W. C. Champion of Falkville; two daughters, Linda Gail Kyle of Cullman and Dollie Ann Champion of Falkville; two brothers, Martin Plunkett of Priceville and Ranzie Plunkett of Holly Pond; 32 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eddie Brookover, Don Green, Pedro Mandez, Wayne Hill, Leon Suggs and Andrew Suggs.
