Funeral for Charlie Herring, 89, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Redfearn officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Herring died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation. He was born Jan. 7. 1915, in Morgan County to Joseph Freeman Herring and Lillie Mae Walker Herring. He was a member of the West Hartselle Baptist Church and was retired from Decatur Iron and Steel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie B. Coker Herring.
He is survived by one son, Charles E. Herring of Hartselle; one sister, Lois Taylor of Orlando, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Thurman Baker, Don Miller, Van Herring, John Ethier, Adam Polk and Harold Woodruff.
