Funeral for James Tillman Reid, 86, of Danville was Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Elder David Guttery, Elder Darrell Chambers and Tim Herron officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Reid died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at his residence. He was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Lawrence County to Henry Martin Reid and Dora Lee Tillman Reid. He was a member and deacon of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Cullman. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Trebie Ryan Reid.
He is survived by his wife, Bebe Helen Reid of Danville; one daughter, Martha Jean Chambers and husband Hulen of Huntsville; step son, Kenny McCormick and wife, Jodie of Danville; three grandchildren; one step grandchild; six great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Reid, Billy Melson, Willard Key, Martin Key, Tracy Chambers, Tony Chambers and Kenny McCormick.
Honorary pallbearers were Leon Key and Hulen Chambers.
